Live at the Loch is situated in and around the beautiful harbour of Tarbert in Argyll and Bute. For directions please visit www.liveattheloch.com/area
The festival takes place in local pubs, restaurants and hotels and at our Main Stage which is situated on the harbour marina.
Note: We acknowledge that the harbour environment includes uneven ground and slopes, and we are transparent about this so attendees can make informed decisions.
ABOUT THE SITE
-
Live at the Loch takes place in the village of Tarbert, spread between various pubs and venues, the outdoor Earra Gael Stage and the Main Stage which is a marquee.
-
Travel between the venues is on paved surfaces.
-
Some areas are uneven and there are gentle slopes across the site.
-
You will need to cross a road to get to some venues, there are no pedestrian crossings or traffic lights but the road is usually quiet and not wide.
-
Part of the walk is next to the harbour with no railings.
-
In dry weather the ground is firm. In wet weather there can be a few puddles.
-
The area immediately in front of the entrance to the Main Stage is gravel.
GETTING AROUND THE SITE
-
The main area of the festival is the marquee on the marina - the entrance, stage, bar, food traders, family activities and toilets - are all in the area of the site, but there may be distances of several hundred metres between them.
-
The other venues/pubs that feature music are accessible along a walkway (see above).
-
The main stage marquee has an award-winning toilet block, wheelchair user friendly
-
All venues have toilets - the Corner House has a disabled toilet. Please contact the venues directly for more details on access if required.
-
There are no steps on the main routes, but the ground is uneven in places. Wheelchair users and people with mobility aids may require assistance.
VIEWING AT THE MAIN STAGE (marquee)
-
The main stage is a marquee, crowd density varies depending on the act and time of day.
-
A limited accessible viewing area is available close to the stage.
-
This area has level ground and space for wheelchairs and seated viewing.
-
Chairs are not guaranteed and we recommend bringing your own if needed.
TOILETS
-
Accessible toilets are available on site and are located close to the main festival area. These are serviced regularly throughout the event.
-
Toilets are lit after dark, but the surrounding ground may be uneven.
-
Toilets are also available at the other venues.
-
There are public toilets opposite the harbour, next to the Loch Fyne Gallery.
PARKING AND ARRIVAL
-
Accessible parking for Blue Badge holders is available in the village.
SOUND, LIGHTING AND SENSORY ENVIRONMENT
-
Live at the Loch features live amplified music throughout the day and evening.
-
Sound levels near the stage and at venues can be loud.
-
Lighting is low across most of the site after dark..
-
The festival can become busy, particularly in the evening.
-
We do a dedicated quiet or low-stimulus area which is found at LATL HQ on the opposite side of the harbour to the main stage. This venue has completely accessible toilets and spaces.
