ARE DOGS WELCOME?

Visitors bringing dogs might like to know the following:

  • Music is programmed to go on until around 11.30 pm each night on the main stage, and later still in the pubs. The venues can be very busy and might be overwhelming for dogs, especially at night when the crowds get dancing!

  • Well behaved dogs are allowed in the Cornerhouse and Frigate bars, but only until certain hours.

  • The Main Stage and Earra Gael Stage areas have outdoor seating which are nice places to enjoy the festivities with your dog (if the weather holds up!)

  • If you are bringing your friend along with you then please remember to check out the incredible dog walks and beaches around the area.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC IS FEATURED?

The festival features a variety of local and well-known artists. You can expect to hear some of Scotland’s finest Celtic music, both traditional & contemporary, mixed in with some good old fashioned floor-fillers and singalongs!

HOW MANY STAGES OR VENUES ARE THERE?

The festival has different venues:

  • Our main stage is in a large marquee which is located at our beautifully developed marina (it neighbours a lovely clean toilet and shower block).

  • The Corner House - a traditional cosy pub known for great bands.

  • The Islay Frigate Hotel - bands will play upstairs with fantastic harbour views.

  • The Anchor Hotel and Seabed Restaurant - bands will play downstairs throughout the weekend.

  • Lulabelles - this beautiful wee restaurant and bar will showcase local acoustic talent!

  • The Earra Gael Stage - a smaller area for acoustic acts, directly opposite both pubs and with plenty outdoor seating to enjoy your tunes in the sunshine.

IS THERE A BAR AT THE MAIN STAGE?

Yes! We have an awesome and well-stocked bar for you to enjoy a refreshing thrapple-douser whilst you take in the tunes, scenery and local ‘patter’! (Actually, an old Tarbert by-law makes it a rare place where you can legally take your drink with you as you walk down the street to enjoy the musicians and vendors).

WHAT CAN I EAT THERE?

We are organising some great food vendors for you to enjoy the best of Scots cuisine from land and sea. Traditional fare will also be present to keep you going! And whilst you are here, why not check out our page on Info about the Area to learn more about our fantastic local restaurant options?

  • Donate!Every penny helps us improve the quality of the festival! LATL is ran by a not-for-profit entity, so every pound not used this year always goes back into subsequent years! Head to our GoFundMe page to give what you can, thanks!

I’D LIKE TO SAIL TO THE FESTIVAL, WHERE CAN I BERTH?

Please check the Tarbert Harbour website to book space in serviced berths in our beautiful pontoon.

DO I NEED CASH?

It’s a good idea to bring some cash to use at the bars and vendors, just in case. However, the pubs, main stage bar and most of the vendors will have facilities to accept card payments. The only cash machine in the village is located inside the Co-op and withdrawals are free.

CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL?

You are discouraged from consuming your own drinks at the stages. The proceeds at the bars are the main source of income generation for covering the costs of the festival and this allows us to continue bringing you high quality live music, completely free of charge, for years to come. We sincerely appreciate visitors who are respectful of this.
